Open Beta Testing of Cart3D is now CLOSED:
As of July 2000, open beta testing of Cart3D is now closed. This means that if you're not currently covered by a Space Act Agreement (SAA), Federal Government Transfer letter (FGTL), or Software Use Agreement (SUA), we are no longer free to send you copies to beta test in your environment, and on your geometries. Beta testing was open for about 3 years, and we are very grateful for the feedback provided by the over 100 participants in the program.  If you'd like like a copy from here on out, licensing or going through one of our licensees is your best option. Many government users also elect to go through the licensee, since they offer support, training, GUIs, CAD integration and support a wider array of platforms.

I Work for a US Government Organization, Can I Get a Current Copy?
Oh...well, why didn't you say so. Yes, Cart3D is still available to users within US government (NASA,  DOD, DOE, etc..) organizations. If you work for a non-NASA federal government agency, you can obtain the software through a Federal Government Transfer Letter (.pdf) (.doc).  If you work for NASA, you should fill out the Software Use Agreement (*.pdf) (*.doc). Fill out and fax either of these forms back to the Technology Partnerships Division (address/fax on the form).  If you have questions, you should contact the NASA Ames Technology Partnerships Division directly. Contact info below.

I am a current Cart3D user covered by an NDA or SUA, NDA, or FGTL. Send me an update now!
Sure, e-mail me and I'll send you the latest distribution. Please remember to tell me:
  1. What platform your're running on (best is if you send me the output of "% uname -a" so that I'm sure to  get you the right one.
  2. What is the current distribution that you're working from (this will be something like "cart3d_v1.2--IRIX64_build04.05.19" or something like that. Usually you can find this in $CART3D/VERSIONS
