Joint Research

Conducted a joint research project with Professor Hafez and Richard Potter of the University of California at Davis on the visualization of a vortex breakdown simulation. A paper on this research was presented at the AIAA CFD Conference in July, 1993.

Transfer of Technology for Education

Participated in the Science and Engineering Education Development (SEED) committee and the Education Delivery Systems working group of that committee. This committee was a consortium of companies led by the Stanford Research Institute trying to develop better methods for advancing the skills of the workforce. We worked on the development of a "distant mentoring system" using the new video and sound capabilities of workstations on networks.
