Overset Grid Software
The Chimera Grid Tools
package contains a number of utilities, libraries and scripts for grid manipulation, grid generation,
and solution analysis. Some of the main modules include:
a graphical interface for visualization, manipulation and generation of geometry/grids and
preparation of inputs for the OVERFLOW-2 flow solver.
Script Library -
a collection of Tcl script macros for manipulation and generation of geometry/grids and
preparation of inputs for the OVERFLOW-2 flow solver. These macros are particularly useful
for building parameterized grid generation scripts for complex configurations.
a spline, redistribution and projection tool for surfaces and curves
a hyperbolic and algebraic surface grid generator
a grid editor for unstructured surface triangulations
a hybrid surface grid generator for creating non-overlapping quadrilaterals and triangles
from overset surface grids; and a tool for computing pressure and viscous force, moment, and
mass flow rate coefficients
a tool for generating executive summary of convergence of flow and turbulence residuals
for all grids, and convergence of forces and moments for various components.
a graphical interface for plotting residual and flow coefficient histories from output files
